Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using leak.fun (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not access or use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us.
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your country of residence.
Description of Service
leak.fun provides a searchable index of publicly available data breaches and leaks. The Service aggregates information from publicly disclosed sources and exposes it through a search interface intended for cybersecurity research, incident response, and personal-exposure assessment.
We do not produce or host original breach data; we provide an index pointing to records that have already been made public by third parties. The Service is a tool to help users understand their exposure — not a means to obtain new personal information about others.
User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at legal@leakfunapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe to be compromised, fraudulent, or in violation of these terms.
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service for any of the following purposes:
- Identity theft, fraud, or financial crime
- Harassment, stalking, doxing, or threats against individuals
- Unauthorized access to accounts or systems you do not own
- Bulk extraction of indexed data for resale or republication
- Any activity that violates applicable privacy or computer-crime laws
Violation of this policy will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant law-enforcement authorities. We reserve the right to rate-limit, block, or audit any account exhibiting suspicious behavior.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what personal data we collect and how we use it. We collect the minimum necessary information to operate the Service: account email, authentication state, and your search activity for rate-limiting and abuse detection.
We do not sell your search queries or personal data to third parties. We do not share aggregated user data with advertisers. Logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and legal-compliance purposes.
Intellectual Property
All software, design, branding, and documentation on the Service are the intellectual property of leak.fun or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works without explicit written permission from us.
The indexed breach data itself originates from publicly disclosed sources and remains the property of its respective owners. We do not claim ownership over any indexed records — we provide an index and search interface only.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Search results are provided for informational purposes and should be independently verified before being acted upon. The absence of a record in our index does not guarantee that an email or username has not been part of a breach.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, leak.fun and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from or relating to your use of the Service.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed €100.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless leak.fun and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (i) your use of the Service, (ii) your violation of these terms, (iii) your violation of any third-party rights, or (iv) any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or engaged in conduct that may harm other users, third parties, or the Service. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at legal@leakfunapp.com.
Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual-property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — shall remain in effect.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your account and/or through a prominent notice on the Service prior to the changes taking effect.
Your continued use of the Service after revised terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which leak.fun is established, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within that jurisdiction.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
